We think of a project as something in continuous evolution. It is a synthesis of ideas, competence, culture, intuition, needs, aspirations, ambiance and people. The effectiveness of a project depends on the ability of an architect to put all of these in relation to one another. The shapes and spaces will lead only to a partial result. The project will reach complete fruition when people start utilising the finished space.

A project has to know how to evaluate the unexpected combinations each situation potentially presents. It’s important to take advantage of them, but also not to be deceived by them. The unexpected is a precious resource, but can hide dangerous traps and pitfalls.
